Default EOI please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I submitted our EOI last night now that the points have changed we have 105 points without job offer. Then typically i received email last night offering job so wanted to update EOI to increase points so selected offer of skilled employment but it now says that section isnt complete so cant re submit form.it states if you have never worked in New Zealand do not fill in any of E. How do i do this then???? Rang immigration and they are no help at all. So all you people that sent in EOI with job offer but have never worked in New Zealand how the hell did you do it???? Without the job offer points are 105 with it whacks me up to 155 which may be the one thing that gets me selected please please can someone advise me what to do im tearing my hair out!!!

Hi Lozza,

From what I remember, we just filled in the job offer section, and the section asking about previous work experience, we just left blank. (I think thats the part you're talking about asking about NZ work experience...)

It accepted it all OK and we've been selected so I assume we did it right!

Give me a shout if I misunderstood what you were asking or if you need any more help.

Jod

Thanks for speedy response i am currently scrutinising all of EOI to see what ive done as i have made a mistake somewhere because i shouldnt fill in any of section E if not worked in NZ that includes the bit that says has a job offer (so immigration have just told me) If i fill in the tick box for offer of skilled employment that makes my section of that incomplete and therefore unable to be re submitted so will let you know if i finally get it right

After getting really mad i have not found a solution so have had to just re submit my application minus job offer and made a note on the re submission that i have received a job offer. I will phone the immigration in wellington tonight to ask what i should do. Im fed up tho cos surely i should receive valuable points now i have a job offer and it may be that we need those extra points to be selected cos i think they will have loads of applications now that they have revised the points system. Another question Jodie is my hubby has high blood pressure well controlled by medication will this cause us a problem with the medical do you think??

Hi Lozza,

Good luck speaking to the NZIS in Welly - they're normally pretty helpful - otherwise you could email them the problem and they normally come back with a pretty quick response....

As for the medicals, I'm afraid I can't help you with that as we haven't had ours done yet. Our EOI was selected in September and we haven't had the iTA yet - we're not gonna do the meds until we get the iTA - there's not a huge waiting lists here so no panic.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Jod

Just an update. Spoke to immigration in Wellington they are so lovely and helpful EOI is now back in pool with the grand points of 175 so everyone fingers crossed. Wish i could say Nursing Council as nice. They are really snotty even tho its them that have buggered it up. I applied in July heard nothing despite 5 emails so phoned to be told my references were never receieved. Got them resent heard nothing again no reply to vast emails sent so whilst on holiday in NZ nipped in to find out what had happened and they had very nicely put me on hold cos they said they were waiting for my NZ address before sending documentation???? i never said i was moving. So anyway gave my home address and asked them to take me off hold which they assured me they would. Ha Ha Ha Yeah right phoned them last night my application has been sitting in draw since 30th Nov when i was approved apparently i was on hold while they waited for my NZ address. When i told the lady i had already been in etc etc she said what did i expect her to do about it??? Cheeky snotty woman. Anyway hopefully i am now not on hold and should receive registration documents soon. Its annoyed me tho they reckon they desperately need nurses and then can't get their paperwork together to get us out there. Enough winging now.

Hi,
This pattern seems to be repeated with other registration bodies.
None of them seem to have a clue what they are doing, or the affect they are having on emigrants.

I think it's about time the NZ government was made aware of the problem.

what d'ya mean they were waiting for a New Zealand address? Are we supposed to have one? That isn't specified anywhere is it? Do you recommend I call in as well when we are over in January to see how my application is going? No reply to my email either.
Ellie

Hope your EOI is sorting out. Where's your job? Doing what??

I have absolutely no idea what they are on about. All i can assume is they thought i was moving to New Zealand straight away but i never told them that!!! Its up to you if you call in we were going to Wellington anyway so it was no big deal. But even calling in wasnt enough for me to get my documents was it!!! They still had me on hold. You could try phoning them but the overseas lady is quite snotty she never apologised or anything. So good luck you will have to keep chasing them i'm sure. However other people have sailed through Nursing Council so you may be lucky.
