Default NZIS Partnership Policy

I would be interested in anybody who has or are applying for Residence under the Partnership Policy of their experience in proving that they are "living togther in a genuie & Stable relationship for at least 12 months" Things like

shared income
joint bank accounts operated reasonably frequently over a reasonable time
joint assets
mutually agreed financial arrangements
Evidence of the parties being committed to each other both emotionally and exclusively such as evidence of
sharing of household activities
sharing of companionship/spare time
sharing of leisure and social activities
presentation by the parties to outsiders as a couple

etc, etc.

Default NZIS Partnership Policy

Hi there

I applied through the partnership scheme with my kiwi wife.

We didn't submit half of what you ask for - where did you get that list?

We sent in:

Wedding Certificate
Wedding Photos
Other photos of holidays taken together
Joint Bank Account details
Joint names on tenancy agreements
Joint names on council tax details
Bills addressed to both of us
Other letters addressed to both of us

We'd been together 4 years before we got married, and 3 years married. We thought that if we'd kept half of the things they asked for all they'd be doing is bringing in a load of kleptomaniacs!

The whole process for me - from downloading the forms to getting my visas took 10 weeks, with the NZIS taking 4 of those.

At the end of the day if you're in a legitimate relationship you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Good Luck!
