which category?

we have applied under the family category as my sister is a nz citizen we chose this as a prefered option as despite having a trade i have 90 points. we have been advised to look at the skilled migrant category as this is given priority over the family category. we are so confused having submitted everything to now learn how low a priority we are. is there anyone having a similar experience.

you may want to recheck your points under the skilled migrant. from next month(I think its Dec) your sister is worth 10points and the range of skills greatly increase.
