Default ** Immigration Process Changing AGAIN!! **

Hi All,
Just saw on the news this morning that the NZ Govt are to change the immigration process again, as it is detracting too many people from applying. They are not sure whether it will be a complete change, or whether they will alter policys to enable an easier application for certain skill sets or what...

So, folks, batton down the hatches, cos things are changing... and soon...

Well Jodie, I wouldnt be too annoyed, by the sounds of it they want to make it easier, cos they are so way down on numbers and the general concensus is that its because the process is too complicated.

So, its just a warning to say things are changing, but on the flip side, it would appear its for the better. But who knows, they could well end up making it even more confusing (if that possible!)

Default immigration

From what I can see it looks like it's going to be easier for many people.
Nurses for example (me :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: ).There's an article in the New Zealand Herald linked from the home page.
Keep us posted Taffy.

The New Zealand Herald has the full story with details of the planned changes.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/storydispl...ection=general

It would appear from the story that these are minor changes that tweak the process rather than sweeping changes that replace the current system.

From my point of view I cannot see anything here that requires panic on my part in fact some of the changes should mean that NZIS actually look at our application more favourably.

Cheers,

Chris.

my brother has just rung from nz to tell me about the changes and i have just read the article. hopefully, i might have more points now as i need to wait for a job offer at the moment. things are looking more favourably for my hubby too as they appear to be recognising police work experience.

Yes, being with the Police is now being recognised as a skilled job. Seems like NZIS are getting something right!!
