Timescale for ITA to arrive

At the expo - stopped by the NZIS stand to ask when my bloomin ITA would be likely to arrive - selected on 1st September EOI accepted 21st Septmeber and still no ITA. Was told without a job offer it is likely to be sometime in the new year :icon_evil: :icon_twisted: :icon_mad:

Me thinks me better start job hunting to speed things up.

During the NZIS Seminar which was a Q&A session I asked about the Decision Successful status and the arrival of the ITA and was told by the NZIS the status is only that the preliminary checks have been passed by NZIS in NZ and that it had been passed to London for processing.

He then went on to say that without a job offer then it was likely to take up to five months before we would receive our ITA pack. Although talking to two further NZIS representatives on their stand provided another two different timescales of up to two months and up to nine months!!!! :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif

I also received a reply to an email I sent to the NZIS last Thursday which stated 6-8 weeks from the status changing to Decision Successful to receiving the pack. Meaning that in the last three days I have had four different answers to this question.

I have now come to terms with the fact that the pack will arrive when it arrives. I am sure this is the first step to becoming a laid back Kiwi! :icon_lol:

Boy, that's a bummer. It really is disappointing to see how uncoordinated NZIS is at the moment. I'm very curious to see what changes get implemented to fix things up. They obviously do not have the staff to process the EOI's and applications they need to meet their quotas.

It would be nice if they could just give a straight-forward answer on any of these things. I'm not planning to move for a year, and was planning a job-hunting trip regardless. But it'd sure be swell if some of these timelines were more concrete.

Sigh. I agree. It's all about learning patience.
