Default MEDICAL CHECKS

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just when i thought things were looking up. Been to the expo today was really good and have been advised by immigration to proceed with residency application instead of visas. Husband has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Nothing bad no reason just needs 1 little tiny tablet a day to keep it down. Does anyone know if this is gonna cause us problems with the medical checks???? i am now terrified that we wont be allowed in. After all our planning i would be gutted if a tiny thing like high blood pressure (which we hope will come down anyway with the lovely new life) will affect our chances. Anyone know???
Regards
Lozza

Hey don't worry, our friends emigrated last year and he had high blood pressure, was classed as obese too(looked fine to me) and there was another little problem, blood in his urine I think, but they got in no problems, I remember them being terrified that they wouldn't qualify but after all their worrying, everything was fine...Stress has since melted off the pair of them now they are living the dream...no worries Lozza, good luck and keep us posted! :icon_biggrin:

Lisa thanx for that u have made me smile again see. I was worried tho. An update of where we're at. Well going to Nz on hols two weeks tomorrow (getting excited now) hopefully will have job offer very soon i am assured i have nothing to worry about being an A&E nurse and following the expo things r positive there as soon as job offer arrives we will start residency application form all filled in just need to send. Going to put house up for sale after hols and hopefully be emmigrating early 2005. Have had nightmares with new Zealand Nursing council so everyone be warned. I applied in July and two weeks ago got sick of hearing nothing (i emailed them 5 times to see how application progressing) so i phoned them. It seems my references never arrived and they didnt think to let me know. This has made me really mad cos they were quick enough to take my money. Have had to ask/beg current emplyers to send more and fingers crossed they recieve them this time. will give it another week then phone again just to keep an eye on things. Hope everyone else is ok
