Default Invitation to Apply Paperwork?

Hi all,

The status of our EOI changed to:-

[quote:97dda58356]
DecisionSuccessful

Congratulations.

We are very pleased to confirm that your Expression of Interest has been successful. You will very shorly receive a letter inviting you to lodge an Application for Residence. The letter will contain information to help you complete your Application for Residence.

Please ensure that your Expression of Interest holds your most current mailing address details so that you may receive our letter at the earliest[/quote:97dda58356]

On the 21st of September does anyone know how long it takes to receive the letter?

Cheers,

Chris.

Do you have a job offer, the ones withjobs get there paperwork first and we just have to wait, we are in the same position as you, selected 1st Sept, ITA thingy 21 Sept, not in a hurry though, havent even started to spend the money on getting certs and medicals done, may expire before we get the paperwork lolol

Maybe its that laid back kiwi attitude :icon_biggrin:

Good luck hope all goes well. If I remember your wife is also a nursery nurse, like myself.

I had my pre assessment back this morning, as you said it's recognised as level 5. We will be filling in our EOI tonight and hoping to be selected this week.

Where abouts do you and your wife hope to be living and working?

Lorraine

LouLou,

We won't be starting the process of getting police checks and medicals until the ITA paperwork arrives, but the knowledge that the EOI was successful makes the waiting for the paperwork more stressful! (I really should learn to be more patient). Still I guess I will be able to quiz an Immigration Officer or two about timescales on Sunday at Earls Court!

Lorraine,

That's the same assessment that my wife got (as you would expect!). There was a selection from the EOI pool today so the next selection will be in two weeks time, good luck!

My wife and I are looking to move our family to Wellington, what about you?

Cheers,

Chris.

Congrats Chris! We're still waiting for our ITA even though we have jobs and were selected a month ago! :icon_frown:

I keep checking our status but it hasn't changed yet. And then I looked back through our EOI today and realised that I've got my employers addres wrong! :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif Doh!! I've put them at number 92 instead of 93 - all the phone numbers and everything else is right - does anyone know if I can go into my EOI and change the number now (once it's been selected), or will this confuse everything?

Just goes to show that you can't check thoroughly enough! (Either that or looking at it for too long does your head in! ::): )

Where abouts in Welly are you looking at Chris?

Jodie

Default Invitation to Apply Paperwork?

Hi everyone!!

I haven't been able to join the forum for a while as we've been moving apts so often that we didn't bother connecting ourselves...

From Auckland to Wellington, now in Johnsonville... yes Jodie.... we're here as well... and it's fantastic!!

We were selected on the 13th Oct. and we were wondering how long it would take for the ITA... We received a letter saying it will take up from 6 to 8 weeks, but hubby was informed over the phone that it can take up to 12 weeks...!!

Out of curiousity... does anyone know what exactly is being verified by Immigration once you're selected? I would assume as hubby is already working and was already checked when applying for the work visa/permit then not much is there to be checked... Or am I wrong?

Fingers crossed for all of you who are waiting!!

Hey Hafi,

Good to hear you're here! How long have you been here now? Are you working? Where is your hubby working? How are you finding J'ville?

We'll have to meet up for a drink sometime!

Default Invitation to Apply Paperwork?

Hi Jodie...

Just moved to Johnsonville last Thursday... We arrived from Akl last month and rented an appartment on Waterloo Quay just for transit only... I had lots of opportunity to walk through the city and I really LOVE Wellington!! - Johnsonville is really a great place to live as it is so close to the city and very family orientated... I'm not working myself as I'm a stay-at-home mum... I want to settle in our house first before looking for work or maybe even study again... We'll see...

It would be great to meet up... Just say where and when... I guess as you'll know some nice places to have a drink?

Hope to see you soon!!

Hi Milliemoo!
How are you?? How are things going?? I bet you can't wait to come over??
When are you planning to visit NZ?
