Hi everyone,
Thank you all for the well wishing! It'll be an experience for sure...

To answer the questions:

Flying with Singapore Airlines, change planes in Singapore.

Will be in Auckland for a day or 2, just to get banks, agencies sorted etc, then will drive on down to Tauranga. Got to meet up with the NZ Herald at some stage, for the follow up on the original story.

Probably get lost a lot in between times!

Erm, if there were any more questions, i'll hunt them down! Although, my next reply on here will be from the chosen land :icon_biggrin:

Taffy's other half here, Welshgirl. Thought I'd let you know he's almost there - landed in Singapore this afternoon, due in Auckland by about midnight.

I'm sure he'll be posting pretty soon to let you know how he's getting on. I will hopefully be following him out there in about 2-3 weeks.

Hey Welshgirl,

Good to hear that Taffy's nearly here (well probably here by now our time!). How did he find his first flight?

We'll have to make sure we meet up once you're all over here and settled - we've got our eye on a BBQ on offer in The Warehouse (you'll grow to love/hate that place!) so could be having that Barby we talked about months ago pretty soon, eh! ::):

Taffy has landed! He got a bit held up at Auckland airport but all o.k now. Apparently he has already sampled the local cuisine (MacDonalds!) so he must be feeling o.k :icon_wink:

I am so jealous - I can't wait to get out there myself now!

So, have I missed anything? :icon_biggrin:

All I have to say at this point... is.... WOW!

NZ is awesome, I love it and I cant wait for my beloved to join me!!

I did have some grumbles to start with, traffic is a lot heavier than I expected, even on the remote roads, but I suppose its entering holiday season.. Dont get me wrong, it was fine, no jams or anything, just a lot more that the usual 'wont see more than a few cars outside the cities' comment.

And the milk tasted foul, but i've managed to find one that somewhat resembles semi-skimmed so i'm happy now :) (They dont label the bottles skimmed, semi-skimmed etc, just have to be lucky!)

I'm putting together a load of piccies etc, and will be writing a little section on the main site about my journey so far...

Ohhhh its so surreal to be here!!! LOVE IT!!!
