Default NZQA, Pre Assessment

hi all

I've been offered a job in New Zealand as a pre school teacher and have just completed the pre assessment on line last night. What I wanted to ask is if I can still submit my EOI anyway or do I have to wait to see what the assessment comes back with. They have however already given me a ref number that will need to be used for the EOI

Can't wait to put in our application you see so I'm pullling at straws I suppose.

Any answers will be helpful

Thanks

Lorraine

Lorraine,

You will need to wait until the assessment has been completed by the NZQA. They will asses the qualification at a level (i.e. Level 4 Diploma) and then you enter this on the EOI with the reference number to gain the relevant points.

They were very quick to pre-assess my wife?s Nursery Nurse Diploma qualification.

Regards,

Chris.

Default NZQA, Pre Assessment

We sent our EOI in without assessement on 1st September, got picked and now we are awaiting our PR forms to be sent in the post.

I know of someone on another Forum who got his NZQA results back within 2 days of emailing them, then just told NZIS the result by fax.

loulou,
i have just had my btec national certificate in print & graphics assessed by nzqa, the assessment came back in a 2 days and was for level 4 and equal to 50 points. i did 2 years full time at brunel tech. in bristol many years ago so i think as long as you did a nat. cert. or above you will be ok for 50 points yourself.
because (like you) i had already been selected there was no way of changing my eoi online so i then contacted nzis to tell them i now had a reference number, they emailed back with a fax number for the eoi team and then had to fax to wellington for them to update the eoi.
cheers

Default NZQA, Pre Assessment

i'm a teacher and want to have my degree evaluated. i was under the impression that the pre-assesment (the cheaper one) was for immigration only and the evaluation of international qualifications (the more expensive one) was for immigration and teacher registration particularly. help im confused
