Default Have you click on 'selected' on the NZIS site ?

Okay, after reading I have a few thoughts. First off, I remember reading in the booklet the NZ Embassy sent me that they MAY impose such restrictions, but it is not mandatory. The Immigration person I spoke to at the embassy seemed to downplay the whole notion.

The second link is more disconcerting, but I did claim that I have a qualification in a future growth area. So hopefully that will help me out.

I think I will email the NZIS officer I have spoken with previously and ask for clarification.

It's only 9am, but I think it's time to start drinking....

Okay, I'm just going to respond to myself a few times for fun. I mis-read, and my qualification means nothing with respect to future growth area, as that's referring to the qualification earned after 2 years full-time study in NZ.

Hey J,
Are you going round in circles?!

I was watching a TV programme last night called 'Conspiracies', and quite a lot of it was based in Austin, Texas. It was all about the Illuminati and the 'Secret orders' etc. There was a bank building features, thats quite new in Austin apparently, which looks like an owl if you're looking at the corner of the building (so you can see 2 sides) and this is supposed to be a 'secret symbol' of the illuminati.

Totally un-NZ related, but thought I'd take your mind off things!

Hi, Taffy. I'm sure that was an interesting program. I've heard about the Owl thing. For some reason I thought it was the tower at the University of Texas (school here in Austin), but perhaps it was something else. What I had read was the reason for the owl was the building was designed by a grad of Rice University, who's mascot is an owl. But this was something I read on an internet message board. Probably not a as reliable as what they had on that TV show.

Yes, going around in circles. I guess at this point it doesn't matter - this topic is only an issue once the PR application is filed. Still have a long way to go before getting to that point.

I wonder if any of the immigration consultants would know the answers to these questions, or if they'd just be guessing too...

I'm sure many immigration consultants have come across this by now. The unfortunate thing is that they wont tell you without charging you, where as you can just as easily get the answer from the NZIS!

Sorry J :icon_sad:
But I did enjoy reading you talking to yourself.
Are we related :icon_question: :icon_biggrin:

From now on I'm going to call the NZIS website the 'tangled web' :icon_biggrin:
Cheers
Steve
