Hi all

Can anyone help with my little query? We are thinking of flying via LA as we get a generous baggage allowance and were hoping to have a couple of days there to take the kids to Disneyland, my question is this, can we leave our luggage at the airport?
Any replies appreciated :icon_razz:

Yes you can. When I was on my way over from Florida my flights got messed up, and my luggage went on another plane. They didn't have it available when I got there, and I wasn't able to get it until 5 days later (kind of hard to get back without a car).

Once you get there, you can "forget" about your luggage and they'll store it for you. Give them a call and let them know you can pick it up on a specific date. But a friendly warning - trying to find your way around at the ticket counters can take a while. And they change too, depending on the hour or day.

Or you could just ask them if they can do it for you, instead of "forgetting" ;)

You'd have to pay me big time to go through LAX....... :icon_evil: :icon_evil: :icon_evil: When we emigrate in Dec we'll be flyinging east, not west.

In Feb when we visited NZ we brought a box full of breakable stuff back with us. Expertly packed, and millions of 'this way up', 'fragile' etc etc labels on it. It arrived safely in LAX from NZ - we had to pick all the luggage up and re check it in :icon_rolleyes: :icon_evil: :smiley21: - and we managed to put it safely (we thought) to one side where everyone else's luggage wouldn't just get chucked on top of it. :icon_rolleyes:

We were gutted to arrive home, collect our luggage, and find that the box was well dented in every corner :011: , and had been opened (we expected that anyway) :icon_mad: . On opening the box at home, 2/3 of what was inside was damaged in some way... :icon_evil: :smiley19: :013:

Love all the emoticons! Hate LAX...

Oooh, that's not a good experience :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif

It's Disneyland that attracts, the kids are just the right age for it, also the luggage allowance, 32" leg room and for an extra 50 quid per person we can stop off in one of those beautiful pacific islands, it's too attractive to pass up, just got to hope our gear arrives safely :icon_rolleyes:
