Hey steve. Yup, got selected this week. Sorry I've been absent - was up in Illinois visiting my mother in the hospital, then at the University doing recruiting. Just got back home a few hours ago. Have lots of catching up to do on the forums!

I'm forming a sort of chain or people selected without job offers.
I know someone who was selected on the 4th Aug.
Then someone on 18th Aug.
Then me/us on 1st Sep.
Then there's you (and Jodie unless she's got a job now ?!) on 15th Sep.
(Sorry if I missed anyone !)

So I'm hoping to learn from them what and when things happen.
I'll let you know.
You should get a standard letter of confirmation in 2 weeks.

I knew by old tired brain would let me down.

I don't know about you, but I find it difficult to remember where everyone has got to.
I know on some forums, people used to put their emigration history in their signatures. That does sometimes get a bit long !

I'll try it on mine to see what you all think.

I know it's nothing to do with emigration, but:

Hiya Steve (and everyone else herre!)

Just to update you - I 've got a job now so we've been selected on 165 points (job's on the POL). We only had 90 points before my job offer hence why we couldn't apply beforehand.

Keep us posted on how the process goes - do you think it'll be quicker cos we're already in NZ?

Hi everyone,

New to this forum. It seems quite small and friendly, so thought I'd say hello! ::):

We were selected this week also, with 105 points. Literally emailed EOI on Monday evening, so was surprised to find we were selected so soon ... although hubby said, "I'm telling you, we'll find out on Tuesday."

We have friends who live in Tauranga, North Island, and they love it. Been there a year, and say their lives are now completely fulfilled. They are great outdoors people though, which helps apparently. We haven't been yet, but plan to go on a 'visit' next year. Very exciting, and a bit scary the whole thing. We are also in the middle of an Oz emigration process, oh yes, we intend to leave the UK. Bring the children up somewhere not at all materialistic.

Stupidly, we're now in a dilemma of which is best! I have friends who have been to both countries, and loved both, and would live in any, so I guess whoever comes first, ooops, y'know what I mean. :icon_lol:
