Default Letter from NZIS !

Hi,

First of all CONGRATS to everyone who was selected from the pool today! :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:

As you may know Frodo & I were selected on Sep 1st with 115 points (no job offer). We've just received a letter from NZIS confirming that they are 'conducting some preliminary checks of the information you provided to determine whether the claims in your Expression of Interest are credible'. They are still stating a 6-8 week turnaround.....so fingers crossed! No mention of interviews.

It's pretty obvious what happens next... If you are a quality member of MoveToNZ then you will be granted residence with an apologetic letter stating that they are sorry they took so long to process your application and would you like them to pay your airfair!

At least, thats what SHOULD happen :icon_lol:

Default Letter from NZIS !

Hi,

Milliemoo:
Yep, found it in the post box thins morning.
From Singapore.

thewhiteant:
Congratulations. It's a great feeling isn't it :icon_biggrin:

LouLou:
Snap.

Taffy:
It's funny you should mention that, but ours.....
I wish :icon_biggrin:

OK, this is what I've found out from others about the place.

It takes 2 weeks to get the letter from selection.
It's a standard letter.
One person thinks it's more likely to be 10-12 weeks.
One had the 'guess from NZIS staff' of 6 to 9 months :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif

It takes another 2 weeks to be assigned a case officer.
That may be longer if you don't hassle them ?!

They haven't published the selection figures, so it's not possible to know yet whether the NZIS workload is getting bigger/the same/smaller.
That will obviously affect the timescales.

Good luck everyone.

By the way, we are getting loads of viewing now.
Lots of cash buyers !!!!!!
Which is a bit of a surprise, and slightly worries us that we#ll sell really quickly !

Cheers all

Steve
