Childcare

Hi there, I am presently in the process of getting my visa to come and work in New Zealand and hope to be there for mid November. My only query at the moment is that I have a young child who will be 2 at christmas I was wondering about the cost of childcare in the southern area of the north island?
Where would I find out more about reliable childcare as I am a single parent?
