Default Price for flights ?

As you might know or not know i am going to NZ for 3 or 4 weeks in November and if i like it (i have no reason that i would not) then i would start looking for a job and a place to live in NZ. Though what i was wondering is where is the best place for flights?

I have found a flight with korean airlines and it's going to cost around ?600 return.........

Is this a good price or do any of you know a cheap / good airline to fly with?

Default Price for flights ?

We bought our flights through Thomas Cook, dealt with real people in the shop, they were really helpful there and they have a really good selection.
Have a look on their web site, they have a search facility for flights.

We are flying with Cathy via Hong Kong, have heard good reports from everyone I know who have flown with them :)

Good Luck

Loulou

Default Price for flights ?

Hi
This is something I can answer :icon_biggrin: Ok I worked for TC selling round the world flights, I was one of the people that the consultant in the branch rang to check cost, availability etc, TC are very competitive due to the sheer volume of seats which they are able to purchase from the airlines.

TC now has a direct buisness which cuts out the branch, thus you dont have to pay the 11% branch commission, The phone number is 0870 566 6222...Thomas Cook direct.

You could also try www.travelbag.co.uk or www.trailfinders.co.uk both based in London.

Good luck

Lisa

Default Price for flights ?

Hi there.

Don't know if I can be of use, but I travel a lot to Korea and the US.
Best airlines are:
Cathay
Emirates
Malaysian

OK Airlines
Korea (some of the time...)
Quantas
NZ
Singapore (Sometimes brilliant)

Crappy
BA

This is only on my personal experience though.
If its any use, I'm going 17-30 October and got 2 tickets for ?1205 inc Taxes, and thats during a UK half term, if that makes any difference.

Hope this is of use, ignore if not!!

Default Price for flights ?

I have visited NZ 3 times and have always used Travelbag. My last visit was 10 months ago and the best deal we got was a "round the world" ticket. This involved Singapore Airlines via Singapore outbound and Air New Zealand via LA on the way back. The beauty of this type of ticket is that we got 3 internal flights in NZ for nothing!!

The round the world ticket proved to be cheaper than a return with Air New Zealand or Singapore Airlines.

The deal is based on using partner airlines and is for up to a set number of miles and no more than 3 "touchdowns" in NZ.

The price is, I believe, dependant on time of year and how far in advance you book.

And that includes what Ady said :icon_biggrin:

www.travelbag.co.uk is a good one - we booked our flights here through them and they were the cheapest at the time. I know Darren's Dad has booked to come out here at the end of November and I think their flights cost about #550 each return with Cathay Pacific.

We flew with Korean Air the first time we came out here a few years ago, and personally I would not fly with them again. OK they were the cheapest, but the hostesses could hardly speak a word of English (they couldn't understand that I was asking for a drink of water - OK I'm a bit Bristolian but my accents not that bad!!) and the food was crap.

Just personal opinion though....

Good luck with the search!]

Jod
