Default I want to retire to NZ
Can anyone help with ways to "retire" to NZ? I had immigrant status for 2 years in the 70's and attended Canterbury U. I am now 56, a US citizen, and want to spend at least 5 mos. of the year in NZ. I can purchase land, and a house and am self sufficient financially. Could probably bring a substantial amount into the country. I don't need immigrant status, but want to be "legal".

Hi Patricia,
Probably the simplest way would be to simply apply for a 6 month holiday visa every year if you only want to be there for up to 5 months. No horrible immigration applications that way!
