Hi,
Ive read alot on here about the EOI pool and predicted numbers and points needed. Could some one tell me where I could find this information. Is it a governement website and will it tell us the scores needed for application in Jan 2006?
Cheers,

Hi Clair,
The current points are available from the immigration website http://www.immigration.govt.nz, and pretty much always available on this forum before they are published on the immigration site!

As for the prediction for 2006, well, there could be an entirely different immigration system in place by then! There is no way to predict what will have happened by that time. The points score is published every 2 weeks and depends totally on the immigration department.

Hope that helps :icon_biggrin:

Hi Claire,

Are you wanting to move in 2006 or just apply in 2006? We have submitted our EOI but we don't plan to move till spring 2006. We wanted to take advantage of the low pass mark.

We figure that it will take 3 months for them to process our EOI we then have 4 months max to get all the documents to them then say another month while they check the docs then if all goes to plan and they stamp our passports we have 12 months in which to enter NZ.

Hope to be there before the start of the new term in the following Jan, as Im hoping to do my teacher training out there. :icon_biggrin:

What you said about applying now...thats good thinking! Im one of those people who think everything will run soo smoothly without a hitch, we'll get processed in the quickest possible time etc... :icon_rolleyes:
Note to self-Ring husband at work, tell him we need to apply NOW!! :icon_wink:

Cook Islands sounds like a nice way to end your holiday!!!

Cheers for the tip about the Visa link!

Were not sure as yet where to settle, we were originally thinking Whangarei, but were not sure of job prospects there, so perhaps Hamilton or possibly living outside Auckland and commuting into the city. The North island tho, as northly as possible...I like the sunshine :icon_biggrin:

me too...... I neeeeeeeeeeeed sun. :icon_cool: I love the Bay of Islands, but it's unlikely Frodo will get a job there. We plan to settle in the North Shore, so he can get the ferry into CBD each day (we don't drive).

I like the idea of mild winters but being able to find snow just a short hop away.
