6-9 months for verification of EOI without job offer !!!!!!

I've just read this !

As you say, this is OK for us, but what a nightmare for most people, including your good self. I just hope they comminicate with all people invloved and give regular updates. I can't think of anything worse than sitting back for 6-9 months not knowing what's going on. :icon_confused:

We will keep searching for that illusive job, and if it takes 6 - 9 months before a response then it means we can save more money towards everything.

Steve where an earth do you get all this information from?

I wonder what type of questions they might ask... is it like a quiz, how much do you know about their wonderful country!!

IF NZ immigration are really struggling to meet their quotas they would be wise to offer Taffy and Steve jobs!! I know if we hadn't come across this chat room we'd still be thinking about it - or stuck on the EOI form!! I don't mean the person who posted it, I mean the NZIS person who emailed it.
Since they've only just started getting no-job EOIs, there shouldn't be much effect yet. So why such a long time ?!
If it's based on todays numbers, what would happen after a few moere picks ?

A work colleague of mine was select from the pool 4 weeks ago and received a letter from the NZIS stating that the process of assessing the EOI will take 4 - 6 weeks.

It's supposed to pronounce the words.
Dosn't work for me !
