Yes, I've been looking at some other posts and I think it's going to be 3 months+ before anything happens (new year, new life?). Looks like I didn't need to worry about our timescales after all.

Hey Bill you aren't alone we are on 95, we are just hoping to get a job offer then crazily enough we have 145, I'm sending Hubbies CV off today so we are keeping fingers crossed, Hey Steve if you are calm enough to think, what do you think NZIS will do now, is it possible they will fiddle with the points system, make it easier to score 100???

Checked the latest EOI report this morning - which was still showing the 18th August, then looked on here and saw a couple of excited posts - then checked my progress to find selected posted - and on my Wedding Anniversary! :icon_biggrin:

Won't really believe it until we're on the plane over there!

Calm - me - no way !!!!!

I predicted 1423 EOIs with a selection point of 105.
That was based on 400 entries on 105 & 100 each.
A guess, but I thought reasonable.

They picked 1434 on 100 !!!!!

That means only ~184 entries on 100 and 105 together !!!!!!

That is VERY low.

If I was calm enough I'd work out how many they'll pick next time.

OK, update to spreadsheet says:

84 entries on 105 & 100 entries on 100 each fortnight.

OK, that makes the next pick on 100 = 615 EOIs.

That's a bit low on what they want !

So, my prediction:

The selection point is going to sit on 100 unless they get more entries.

Yes, they may bump you up 5 points.
Maybe they'll adjust the points for work experience or something.

If I was them I'd add 5 points for having > ?xxxxx.
That way you can afford to go and have a go.
You can afford to live without a job for a bit - and it costs NZ nothing.

How about a few points for having kids.
Maybe more if they are close to working age.
After all that would benefit NZ.

I feel for everyone who can't get the 100 points :icon_sad:
