OK,
For those who care about what the pool looks like and will look like.

I've updates my spreadsheet.
It shows how many have just been picked (some guesswork), and how many would be picked next time, based on those figures.

I can't believe it's so low !

Don't want to put a damp squib on things when I'm so excited and I know everyone else is - but have you noticed in their information on their draw the statistics of numbers processed, etc. It suggests that they turn down about 1/3 of all residency applications - or am I just reading the figures wrong. Does anyone have any insight into why this might be so?

Main reason is listed as claiming points that you are not entitled to....... i.e. lying about qualifications and experience.

Yes, they talk about 30% being "returned to the pool, declined or withdrawn"

So, some had fewer points than they were claiming
Some were declined - lying, too few points to be in pool etc
Some were withdrawn - I guess because they realised they wouldn't get through.

Well, I have qualification.
I am the age I say.
I have worked for the years I've said, doing what I've said.
I do speak reasonabubble English !

If you're sure of your points, then I guess those that create that statistic aren't of any worry to you.

Wow, congratulations to all who were picked!

Hope it stays that low as I need a job offer before my points get up to a lowly 125, and not having any luck from this end so have to go out there first!

Fingers crossed that it doesnt move much over the next month so I can get a job in place!

Thanks for the re-assurance. It suddenly seems unreal! I really can't wait - hope that it won't take 6-9 months we might be living in a caravan for a while waiting for it all to come together - but hey - just another part of the adventure!
