Default Silly question

:icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif This is probably a silly question but I'm going to ask anyway. I will be travelling to NZ on a holiday visa with my NZ husband and apply for residency when we get there. Should we have return tickets?

I think its the same as the working holiday where you either need a return ticket or evidence of funds to purchase one.

Default Silly question

Hi,
I don't think it's a silly question at all.
Hey, Taffy, you beat me to it !

I don't think the fact that your husband is a Kiwi makes a difference until you are recognised by NZ.
The options often quoted are:
1) Return ticket. Make sure the return part is refundable !!!
2) Get a waiver with your visa (you will need to prove that you can afford to purchase the return ticket. You may need the funds in NZ).
3) Get a onward ticket to Aus. This could be iffy, because they will question your right to enter Aus on a single ticket !!!!

I would try option (2). Ask them, given your situation, for a waiver.

Concise Taffy beats woffly Steve !!!!

Please let us know what happens, so we can give the best advice, based upon fact.

Cheers

Steve
