This site is great BTW!
Ive found the answers to almost every question weve asked! :icon_lol:
One thing tho...How long approx does the whole process take after weve submitted the EOI?
Dont think we should have a problem, we got 135 points :icon_biggrin:
But I suppose I dont want to be too cocky and jinx it :icon_wink:

Hi Bugbabe,

Well, your submission will remain in the pool for up to 3 months, so you should hopefully be picked within that timeframe (although when is anyones guess!). After you are selected, i believe it can take up to a few weeks to check everything out on your form, such as your work history, medical and police checks etc, and then you will be sent (if successful) an offer to apply for residency.

Most people seem to report around 6-9 months for the whole thing to be processed, but it varies so widely that no one can really answer this question.

I suppose if you are picked at next selection, your application is top of the pile of those picked, and all your stuff checks out with relative ease, it could be a lot quicker.

Its a 'suck it and see' kinda process unfortunately!

Hi,
You should be picked today ! (edited: assuming you're in the pool !!!)
I think I've heard that it can take 2 months before you receive the invitation to apply.
I guess it depends how busy they are and whether your references are difficult to check.
With higher points you may be treated first.

With 135 points - have you got a job offer ?
It's 'thought' that it could take longer if you haven't because they will prioritise those with job offers, and interview EVERYONE !

Weve got those points without a job offer....its about 175 with one!!

Jamie has emailed a few agencies dealing with his line of work and theyve all got back saying theres plenty out there for him. Its all looking really positive :icon_biggrin:

We could apply now, but we cant go till I graduate (2006) so were a bit unsure as when to :icon_frown:
It'll all come together Im sure

Are you sure you have that many points without a job offer? You only count the main applicant's points.

Yes...Ive just checked, Jamie is the main applicant, he has 130 points (not 135 sorry) without a job offer :icon_biggrin:
