Luggage

This might sound daft but have you noticed the huge amount of luggage these people have with them on all the relocation programmes that are on the telly at the moment.Are you allowed to take more than normal if you are going to live? :?

It could be one of a few things:

Sometimes, airlines will allow excess baggage if you can prove you are emigrating.

The TV company might have paid for the excess baggage

Or, they paid for it themselves!

But you are right, they do seem to be loaded up! Not suprising really, moving all their worldly belongings!

We flew with Air New Zealand and were allowed 64 kilos of luggage each, plus 2 items of hand luggage each - and that is just their normal allowance. This is if you go via LA - if you go the otherway round across Asia you get only 20-25 kilos each.

Definately worth going across LA if you have as many shoes as I do! :lol:

Thanks Jodie thats very interesting ,a huge amount more,we flew Cathy Pacific last time and your right it was 20 something kilos each.which was o.k. just for a holiday but I dare not think just yet what youd need to be going on with when going to live for ever,or at least untill the boat comes in with your stuff.I noticed alot of N.z. didnt wear shoes(it was summer) and I noticed that they didnt have any hard skin on the bottoms of their feet either.
