Default Submitted My Application!!

Hi folks
A question and I hope I am in the right place. I am a NZ citizen in the UK and wanting to take my partner over to NZ. I have downloaded the partner application form but can not see how much it costs. I have read in this thread about costs etc but would this apply in my case?
Any help would be good
Cheers

Hiya

Well i know about this, as i am a UK citizen moving to NZ with my NZ partner! you need to download the residency form for your partner to complete, and you need to download and complete the sponsorship form. All in all it wll cost around the ?700 mark when you include the visa fees, medical, police checks etc.

Yep, ?700 is about right.

Just when you think you've paid for everything and submitted your forms, you are told (hopefully) that your application has been successful and would you like to pay another ?115 to get a stamp in your passport.

So much for savings!!

I have sponsored my partner just recently. We submitted the application and docs to NZ House on 21 July and have just today received a letter dated 9 August confirming they have "Approved in Principle" - all that they are after now is the Migrant Levy, following that they will return his passport with his Permanent Residence permit.[/quote:97a77576cd]

Sorry there, missed your post. That's a result - hopefully it'll be that quick for me too. When are you guys planning on heading out? Where to?

Stu

I'm sure yours will be fine too - my other half was told on 21 July that they are all up-to-date with family PR applications.

We hope to be in Auckland by November. Still one hurdle to get over and that is selling our flat, though its on the market and we are taking viewings - I'm sure it'll go soon!?!

And your estimated date of departure and destination? You may already have noted this, so don't feel obliged to answer again - I'll check the history.

Good luck...

S.
