Hi,
Look on my website.
In the NZ Links page click on "Car Seats".
That'll give you some info.
I hope that helps.

Hi Taffy,
I thought you were going to pay me
I hope you think of my website as an additional resource for poeple on here that makes your forum more attractive.
You'll notice I don't promote anything 'else' !
It's certainly stirred up some posts on here !

I think I must have the biggest collection of links specifically for people emigrating from the UK to NZ on the net.
Unless you know differently ?!

Thanks again for your help with my EOI filling.
It's in and I'm waiting with great anticipation for the next pick to see how the numbers change.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,
You're more than welcome to direct people to your very impressive collection! After all, we all have the same goal :)

Fingers crossed for your EOI application, I hope it all goes well for you! You dont have a job offer do you? Because I was thinking about this situation with people now applying without offers, and wondered how successful they would be. The reason behind my thinking is the old general skills category, which they scrapped to avoid people entering New Zealand and not being able to find work, which is why they launched the new system, heavily based around people with work.

What do you think?

Hi queasy

I've had some queries about child safety and child care in New Zealand as well and was kindly informed (by Mr. & Mrs. Ruahine here at the forum) to have a look at this website... I found it quite useful...

www.plunket.org.nz

But we are planning to take our own car seat and use this for when we land... I've been told that UK car seats are ok to be used unless that has changed?

Hi Taffy,
Yep, no job offer. 50+30+20=100.
You noticed that !
Yes, It's going to be very interesting in the next pick or 2.
They've run out of apps with jobs.
The flow is limited by the number already in NZ.
The number going to NZ with lower points with jobs may increase.
But that takes time. Maybe months or more.
So there is going to be a period of months in which there aren't enough above 120.
So they are going to have to pick below 120.
The big question is how many are applying.
If you look at my spreadsheet, you'll see that if quite a few apply at 100, NZIS have 3 options.
1) Stop at 105, which may not be enough.
2) Go to 100 quite quickly
3) Go to 100 after a bit. The problem for them is that the number on 100 will rapidly become too big for them to cope with in one go.

I've based the 2nd guess at 200 entering/14days on 110 and 105, and 400 entering on 100.

My bet is option 2.

As to whether those who get through will be successful immigrants - who knows.
They are picking from countries with less cultural difference.
That makes getting a job easier.
Who knows !

Oh, by the way, that link you just posted
It's already one on my list !!!!!!!
I was just about to add it

 :) :D
