EOI = 115 !!!!!!! Aug 4th 2004

Hi,
I casually predicted the EOI points would reach 100 by late Sept a few weeks ago.
Oh boy, am I shocked :shock:
115 already !!!!!

If it reaches 100 we can apply without a job offer.
I haven't looked at this :shock:

If we apply and get accepted, what do we get ?

How long do we have to sell the house and get to NZ.
How long to then get a job ?

Ahhhhhh !!!!!!

What are you panicing about? I thought you were the man with all the answers! :lol:

Why don't you just go over there now and find work? I expect the competition in the EOI pool will be much the same as you, without job offers so if you could find the work, you'd get an immediate boost!

Easy to say, not so easy to do I suppose!

It's like poker - sometimes people believe me :D :D

We're just getting the house ready for sale.
I've been concentrating on that, and not looking at submitting an EOI until we get to NZ, in months and months....
Now, suddenly, we could be applying.
I can't even find the EOI online submission page on the NZIS site !!!
How do they make it so complicated.
I found it months ago - is it now hidden ?!

I expect the points will stop at 105. It would be so nice to go out with a 2 year work visa. The longer time would allow us to buy a house and move our stuff out. We'll see.

The only problem I can forsee is if the points start going back up again. Once they reach the 100 point mark, they will be flooded with applications so I can well imagine them bumping the points back up.

RE: the EOI form, if you go to the home page, there is a login on the right hand side for online services (assuming you are registered of course!). There is also a link underneath the login boxes to register if you havent already.

I eventually found the register link.
Of course it's all different to the last proper look I had.
Then I logged in.
But where do I go from there ?

When you log in, a link to start the EOI should appear in pretty much the same place as where you entered your login information.

Hope you're prepared for the long hard slog which is the 'EOI!!'

Here's the first of the stupid questions !

What's the dialling code for the UK ?

If our code is 01264 what's the number from NZ ?

They will know the international number to dial out of NZ as it is the same for all countries, you just need to list the country code of +44.
