Hi Fisheress.

My guess is that 'incumbent teachers' mean qualified teachers (as in, not training to be) or, as you quite rightly said, experienced teachers.

Hope that helps,

Welshgirl :)

An incumbent teacher is one that is already working at that school and may even be doing that job on a temporary basis. Good luck.

Default Incumbent

Have just checked the meaning of incumbent with a friend. An incumbent will DEFINITELY already be doing that particular job on a non permanent basis. Happy hunting. Clarkey.

I havn't seen "incumbent" but if you see "No actual vacancies." then the poistion is only being advertised to fulfill the law, not to ask for teachers to apply.

Are you in NZ at present? Your chances of getting a position if you overseas are negligable.
