Default Hawkes Bays or Bay of Plenty.

Hi guys,
Planning to be in the North island at the begining of 2005 with my family. We are planning to live & work either in Hawkes bay or Bay of plenty, all depends on where all the vehicle crash repair centres are !!. I also have 2 teenagers who would like to know what life is like to be a teenager in NZ. Any help or useful website for the kids would be appreciated.

Matty :P [/b]

Default Hawkes Bays or Bay of Plenty.

The book by Paul Goddard on his move to New Zealand that was filmed by the BBC would be worth a look for you. I got the details off a post on this forum and he mentions that sort of thing..

good luck

Default I've got this

I got this book from Amazon. It's a good read and the main thing I got from it was to make sure your house is sold before you leave! Especially if you're depending on the money to set you up in NZ. If anyone wants to send me their address I'll happily pass it on as it isn't a reference book and I won't need it again.

Default hawkes bay or bay of plenty - kwiw reply

Hi matty,
tough question. both areas are very nice.
i would say that if you're a panel beater, then tauranga is the area, simp;ly becuase of the huge growth in the tauranga area there is a huge amount of vehicles in a very small area, and you know what that means!
lots of crash repair work .

Both areas are beautiful.
bay of plenty depending where is a little more expensive than hawkes bay, but hawkes bay has the wine!
hawkes bay is also little slower paced than the tauranga region

Try this for teenagers

best of luck for your trip here
