Moving back to NZ w/ U.S. husband

I am a kiwi and i have been living in America for the past 8yrs. I am about to get married and my future husband and i want to live there. I know it will be no problem for me but he is a U.S. citizen and i wondered if anybody knows anything about having a foriegn spouse and living in NZ.
I don't know if he will be able to live there or if he will have to constantly be updating work visa. So if anyone knows anything about this stuff and could give some tips on where to find out some information that would be awesome.

Hello there Rebecca. Your husband should be fine because you are already married. I moved to NZ before my husband (now ex-husband) and I were married and lived there for 6 months before we were married. He sponsered me and you will probably have to be a sponser for your husband as well. Contact NZ Immigration. I think you will find it easier to do than you think. I am hoping that my attempt to emmigrate will be easy, but I fear not. I had permanent residency, then came back here to the U.S. in 2000 with my daughter who is a NZ citizen. I am hoping to move back so we can be closer to her dad. But I might have a problem.
