    Default Power/MacBook?

    Hey there,

Just wondering, I have a MacBook Pro and was wondering if anyone knows what the power conversion would be like .. I am confused if I need an "adaptor" or a "converter" so that I don't blow up my laptop when I bring it to NZ from Canada.. any ideas on this? I was hoping Apple sold the power cord in its entirety so that I might be able to just buy that instead??

    Hi,

I would say that all laptops nowadays are have universal AC Adaptors.
If you inspect the adaptor the input AC voltage should say 100-240V 50/60Hz. North America uses 110V and Europe 220-240V so the input range is safely covered.

You'll probably still need a plug adaptor so you can plug the unit into an NZ wall socket.

As Hatter said you can buy a plug adapter or purchase another power supply from an NZ apple dealer.
