    Default Please help....!

    I'm an Indian in India, belonging to Schedule Tribes. I've previously been told by an Immigrant Consultant that I'd qualify for New Zealand Immigration. But I'm apprehensive and I don't wanna lose any money. So, I would like to know how many points I can gain with the qualifications given below:

    Highest academic qualification:
    1. Higher Secondary/10+2 [I'm currently pursuing B. Sc (Computer Science)]

    Technical Qualifications:
    1. 6 months Diploma in Office Automation.
    2. 1 year Diploma in Computer Applications.
    3. 7 months Computer Hardware & Networking
    4. 3 months "Networking on Windows 2003 Platform" (MCSE Equivalent)
    5. 1 months "Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices" (CCNA Equivalent)
    6. 80 Hours (3 months) Workshop on Red Hat Certified Engineer.

    Work Experience:
    * Currently unemployed/Student.
    * Previously worked as a System Administrator (Trainee) for 1 and Half months and thereafter as an Assistant System Administrator for 9 months after successfully completing the training.

    Age:
    * Between 20-30 Years.

    Note: English has been the only medium of Instruction, i.e., First Subject. Therefore I believe I have good command over my spoken and written English.

    Thanking you all in advance....

    I don't recognise your Higher Secondary 10+2 qualification. Is that linked to your studies for the B.Sc in Computer Studies or is it a high school qualification? I don't think the other certificates you mention would be recognised by INZ for purposes of gaining points. You could have them assessed by NZQA just to be sure, unless someone on here can confirm if they would be accepted or not.

    Getting a degree in Computer Studies would probably be your best option to get points.

    You can read about recognised qualifications from India here.

    Raidang,

    You would score points for your B.Sc degree and not for the HSC. As Mother Bear said, your qualifications and also your work experience would not qualify for points. You would stand a better chance if you have a degree in Computer Science and also a full time job in that field.

    You will have to have the BSC degree finished as Charming said. I am not sure about the other qualification. You can try for a pre-assessement of your qual for NZQA and see how it goes and then submit the EOI.
