For filing the EOI is it necessary that you have NZQA assesment first?

No, you don't need the NZQA first. We are doing ours in parallel. Ironically, they are both coming to conclusion at about the same time. My wife will now be able to move forward with her teaching registration. Remember that timing will become more important as the path to permanent residence draws nearer. Try to do as much pre and parallel work as you can.

Good luck!

Brad

I never did a NZQA assesment.
When you have a job offer and proofs of your working experience you don't have to do this.

Will you be teaching? If so, I do believe you need to do your NZQA although not necessarily first. I would go ahead and do it if you plan to do it anyway unless you are waiting for some other reason (like graduation if you are in college).
