If you apply under the Essential Skills Policy employers need to prove to INZ that they haven't been able to find a kiwi suitable to do the job. What he has to do can be found nearly half way down the page on here.

However, if a potential employer is on the Accredited Employers List he shouldn't need to do any of this as he will already have been approved to employ people from overseas.

If you are applying under the Skilled Migrant Category, you may not have to go through all this as it isn't a requirement that you have a job offer before you can apply.

    Hi Mother Bear,

So if without job offer I have 105 point, is that enough? still possible to get PR without betting/hoping too much.

    Thanks

If you have the right skills and comply with all the other requirements, then you only need a basic 100 points to apply. Anything over that is a bonus, but it appears that the more points you have the quicker you can be selected. If you can find a job offer that will obviously help with getting you more points.
