Northampton To Nz Confusion

Hi All,
I'm Sure You've Heard It All Before But Here Goes,
For The Eoi We Were Told At Expo Hubby Needs Job Offer (he Is A Builder With 20+ Experience But No Offical Qualifications In It But Has Run Own Business Is Vat Reg And Has All Records Etc).
However Feel Rather Catch 22 As We Can't Emigrate Until Sept 09due To Gcses. We Can't Do Eoi Without Job Offer And What Employer Is Likely To Make Offer 12-16mths Ahead ? If Anyone Has Any Ideas Would Love To Hear Them.
