Default EOI - Birth Certificate Number
Hi all

I am in the process of completing my EOI online and have hit a snag or two. Firstly it refers to a birth certificate number, I do not have my birth certificate and would have to apply for my unabridged birth certificate does this mean that I need to wait for this number before I can complete my EOI.

Hi Karin,

I tagged a few not-very-helpful words about this onto your kittie thread. Is there nothing on the EOI page that tells you what to do if you can't provide any of the required information? I can't get in to see for myself because I'm not registered. You could always try it without the number and see if it accepts it or demands that you put it in. I know when INZ receive it they check to make sure all the relevant informatin is on there so maybe they'll contact you and you can explain what's happened.

The EOI / Birth Certificate Number is NOT a mandatory field. You can skip it alltogether, however, there are (2) mandatory fields on that particular page (iirc).
