Exclamation OMG They are changing the rules again!
Has anyone seen the INZ website today?
They are changing the rules again with regards to the Skilled Migrant Category!
This appears to include those who have been selected from the pool but not yet received an ITA as well as those that have receieved an ITA but have yet to submit their application!
The changes also come into force at the end of November!
Joy of Joys and more hoops to jump through it appears at first glance......... unless someone can tell me different!

For those who know me/ are interested, we still are showing the Selected status after being selected on 26/9/07 with 140 & job offers!!!!!!!!!

INZ is revamping its site and its policies so it pays to keep checking up on what's going on. This is what makes me so nervous about our application - you never know when they're going to move the goalposts and insert new clauses that are less than helpful to us. Nothing stays the same.

If the changes are to your advantage, it might be worth waiting. When they become applicable, I'm not sure if INZ apply their new rules to applications already in hand or only to ones received after the rules come into force. If you wait at least you should be sure to fall within the new rulings.

Regarding the changes to the SMC that were due to come into force at the end of November, they have now been revoked and deferred until February .

Is everyone suitably confused now?
