Default Change of Job Offer on ITA

What happens if you submit your ITA with a job offer and then get offered another job that you would rather take? Do you just inform NZIS and they change the details on your ITA and everything continues or do you have to start the whole process over again?

Not sure how many replies you'll get to this, Nicky, as most people are only too glad to get one job offer, let alone two. Well done you.

Perhaps it depends on how far along your application has gone as to whether you can change your employer's details, but I can't see why they wouldn't accept a new job offer from you. I know they check up to make sure the offer is bona fide etc. but if they haven't already done that, you could slip the new details in instead with no damage done.

I certainly wouldn't let the better offer go as it's what you want and I really don't think you'd have to start from the beginning again. If you already have a case officer, I'd check with him/her about your situation and see what they say. Otherwise just let INZ know what's happened and forward them the full details of the new offer so that it doesn't hold things up for you. I'd hope it wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Good luck. Sorry for the rather sketchy answer.

I haven't got a job offer yet (let alone 2). I have an interview next week for a job in Christchurch and from the conversations I've had it looks very promising. However we would rather settle further south than Christchurch i.e. Timaru area. I just don't want to be offered a job in Christchurch and turn it down in case I don't get one in Timaru. I would rather accept Christchurch and continue to look in Timaru and if I get one then I have a choice. I just wondered where I stood with my EOI & ITA if I did this.

Knowing my luck I won't get anything and this will all be a pipe dream

I was obviously reading too much into your post. Thought you were a bit of a dark horse keeping that news to yourself, but I can now see the reasoning behind your query.
