Default Verification after selection from the pool

From everything I've read, I probably should ask "how long is a piece of string" .. but am just curious of peoples experiences.

We were selected from the pool a week ago (18th July). How long did the verification stage take for your application?

Do they tell you if your claim to points is ok (or not), prior to deciding whether to invite you to apply?

sorry .. I am very impatient! Not good when dealing with all this waiting eh?

Lou

Anyone would think you were keen to go.

Alifox has answered part of your question earlier on here . I would think you'd hear soon enough if there was a discrepancy in the number of points you'd claimed, but perhaps someone who's going throught the process can verify whether it's before or after you have the ITA. When you submit your ITA I think that's when they check up on everything you've told them, including your quals.

Lou,

We were selected from the pool on 13th Sept 2006 and received our ITA on 3rd Nov 2006. (which fits in with the timescale Alifox was told)

We never had any correspondence with NZIS between those dates, certainly nothing about whether or not our points were correct so can't help you there I'm afraid.

I would just suggest you keep checking your online account (if you've got one) as I'm sure we found out there about our ITA before we received it in the post.

Hope that helps

In view of Jon's post on another thread, if you do get a job offer, you can inform NZIS and they will amend your records accordingly. Things should then hopefully go into top gear for you. NZIS are more likely to pull their finger out for someone who has a job waiting for them.

Good luck with the interviews. Fingers are crossed for you.
