Default Taxation and Social Security Number?

Probably sounds like a really daft question ...

On the EOI form, have put my National Insurance number in the Taxation number box, but am stumped on social security number.

Have I got one of these? Only benefits I have ever claimed has been child benefit.

    TIA,
    Jon

Social Security number is what we call our tax ID number in the United States.

You only need to fill in one or the other Just leave the social security one blank.

Thanks for that, it was the last thing we needed to sort out, apart from the passport numbers for the kids. Hopefully we shall have these within the next month and we can send of our EOI.

BanjoJon - do you play the banjo?

Also the character in your avatar looks like it should practice tai chi and it reminds me a little of Mr Ben. Not exactly sure why as I know Mr Ben didn't exactly look like this......

Yes I play the Banjo, and my name is Jon, hence Banjo Jon. It was how my wife and her friends knew me before we were together. I played Banjo in a covers band. I suppose my avatar does look a little like Mr Ben, just lacks the hat and umbrella! Someone else said it looked like a tax inspector.

Yes, I saw that post and I agree with that also but Mr Ben is so much more exciting don't you think! I'd love to be Mr Ben although it seems Mr Ben loved being other people.

So cool that you play the banjo. Do you ride? Coz if you don't you have to learn simply so that you can come do this seven day trail thing with me next summer and you can play banjo round the campfire at night! Absolutely necessary in my opinion. In fact don't bother learning to ride I'm sure you'l learn over the course of a few days!!

Do you mean ride, as in Horses!! I tried it once, somehow I was still able to have children, but I've no idea how. I can certainly see why John Wayne walked the way he did. I shall stick with my Banjo playing and being a tax man/Mr Benn lookalike.

Ohh that's it! You've done it now! Opened the memory floodgates - I'm gong quickly to put a new post in the favourite thing in the Coffee Shop. It shall be titles Fave Old Kids Progs.

Oh, shame about the horse thing, we'll have to build a fire on the beach on New Years Eve instead and play banjo round that instead! (you will play I will listen and jig!)
