    Default Eoi

    HI,

We have been accepted from the EOI pool. Does anyone know the currents stats on how long their investigations take. When can we expect an answer?.. Do they send a letter in the post or do they reply to you online on?

    regards

After being accepted you should receive your ITA (Invitation to Apply) in about 8 weeks. I submitted my EOI at the end of July, was selected on 2 August, and received my ITA on 12 October.

Once you receive your ITA, you have 4 months to complete it. After you submit it, it can take another several months for NZIS to begin to review it, then weeks for them to approve it.

I submitted my ITA on 2 February, and just this week has NZIS begun to review it. I have my phone interview on May 8th, and I'm not sure how much longer after that the rest of the review process will take.

My experience so far has been when NZIS says "4-8 weeks" they really mean 8 weeks!

Your ITA will arrive via post, though NZIS may contact you via e-mail if they have other questions or concerns.

    I hope that helps.

How long it takes can depend on which branch of NZIS you're using and how busy they are at the time, which isn't much help, I know.

I'm not sure if you can choose how you want to be contacted, by post or by email. Something in the back of my mind (a deep and dark place ) thinks you can.

If I recall correctly, when you complete your EOI online you tell NZIS how to contact you. I chose e-mail, but obviously most things (such as your ITA) still have to be done via post.

As for the timeline, I should have pointed out that you receive your ITA, the cover letter should provide you with a web address to check processing times.
