After nearly 3 years of hemming, hawing, cold feet, hot feet(?!) ... it's finally done.

Now, crossing fingers and waiting --- hopefully for not very long!

I justed checked our status this morning, knowing that the next selection was today ... we've been selected! ?:)

I have 145 ponts: 135 points thanks to a Masters Degree in Education and 10 years secondary teaching experience, and another 10 for my wife's BA.

Once I get the ITA (hope I didn't just jinx it! :icon_eek: ) I'll send my stuff out the NZQA and the Teachers Council.

BTW, is it unrealistic to think I'll be selected during this week's draw?

No, not that unreasonable as we only had 120 points and went into the pool 1st Feb 2005 and selected from it on the 2nd Feb 2005, How lucky was that theres hope yet for ya, keep everything crossed.

Hi Welshgirl, hope you've enjoyed your time back here, we will be staying in Auckland for about a week in motel (not booked yet) and will visit friends in North Shore & Pakuranga, Oh and also the lovely lady (Bev) we met in London last August outside NZ house who we befriended, Amazing person from pukehoe. Then down to the bay of plenty to try and find work if we like it or poss hamilton etc, until we find our paradise. Can't wait getting really excited now.

We were selected also in August 06. Did you get your ITA yet? We are still waiting ...Guess it can take up to 3 months for preliminary check in London without job offer. :)
