Default 135 points with a job offer
Hey everyone

long time no speak.. well things have been moving so fast here. We flew out of heathrow on thursday night 29th june and arrived on saturday evening. The kids were fantastic concidering the lengh of the flight.

Since saturday we've bought our car and i've had a job interview with the Salvation Army.. (IT) Now i don't no if you guys remember but i asked if the Salvation Army was an accredited employer.. it appears that they are so i can go down the work to residence route..

But now i'm thinking of going down the EOI router as i've got 135 points but the job doesn't come under the skilled area.. My question is this.. how will NZ immigration look at my EIO if the position/job isn't under there skilled list

Hope is makes sense

Hmm might not be on there skill shortages list but should be classed as skilled. My trade isn't on the skilled employment list but NZIS have confirmed it would be classed as skilled, that list is only for examples as far as I know.

Sounds very cool about Accredited employer, well done, where are you based again, I forget where you were headed. I'm currently looking for jobs in Wellington.

How are you finding the job seaching Stevey? You have your WHV though don't you, so your legitimately seeking work, wonder if they look upon us without a visa like slippery customers trying to get in through the back door? :icon_confused:

Yep, kitchnerd, hope you already gotten the job and getting ready to integrate into the society.

I am still in the process of looking for a job in NZ and also at the same time my current company is finding hard to let me go (well at least only my boss), he is trying hard to get me transfer to CHC and i am hoping for the best.

Hi guys

Thanks for all your kinds words.. got some news i'd liked to share. Today i have accepted a job offer from the company i've been speaking to since February, got the salary i wanted plus they have agreed to let me travel from Rotoura ( as my wife's famliy is based there ) i will be based in Wellington so i'll be traveling on a monday and flying back on a friday plus i can also work from home.

I can't believe how smoothly things have gone here, the kiwi's are so cool. today we needed to book our medicals so i called the doctors my sister in law is registered to who gave me a date of next week and the rest of the family would be seen each week after my appointment. anyway went down there to register and they just said to come in on friday morning and the doctor will see you all then, now would a UK GP do that.. I DONT THINK SO :o)

Container arrives in a few weeks i need my golf clubs

Will keep ypu all inform as soon as i get news

By the way we move into house on the 10th August ...SWEEEEEETTTTTTTT
