Default Non- Anesthesia Dental Hygiene For Dogs

Hi There, I am currently living on the island of Maui. I am a Dental Hygienest for pets and have been practicing for the past 15 years in various parts of the U.S. I LOVE my work, not many veterinarians will take the time to provide dental cleanings without the use of anesthesia because it is done much more quickly if the pet is unconscious, however there are several risks to using anesthesia, including death. My method is completely safe and there are several progressive Holistic Vet's who refer their clients to me rather than subject their pets to such a risk. I have a web site which goes into greater detail http://www.catdrinkswater.com. I would love to teach my profession in New Zeland and perhaps eventualy move there. I truly would like to escape from the U.S. I have done all I can to try to "save" everything here from going to hell but Im also realistic. There is too much greed and ignorance out of control here for one girl to stop.

Thanks for any ideas
Letisha

Welcome to the forum Letisha! [smilie=Welcome_2.gif]

I guess I am correct to say that you are a Vet. If that is the case, Veterinarian is listed on the Long Term Skill Shortage list. If you are below 56 years of age, I'm sure you are since you called yourself a girl!, you can apply under the Skilled Migrant Category. You can do a check of your points on this link. Also, if you can find a teaching job offer in NZ, your application will be push forward in the queue for top priority processing.

I would like to add that you may need to get registered with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand before you can practice in NZ.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Cheers
Pulsarblu
