Cost of submitting EOI

We are about to submit our EOI - what are the costs involved in the whole process?

Golly, lots of costs other than the application fees. I can't recall off the top of my noggin what we paid for the EOI - perhaps $200US? We will submit our Application for Residence (aka ITA) tomorrow. NZIS wants ?520 for that, plus a Migrant Levy of ?115 per person. The Levy will be charged only if they issue the visas, I believe. Who knows what Fed Ex will want to ship it to London from the US.

Then there are passports, medical exams & X-rays, police check, acquiring certified or original copies of birth certificates, etc. We paid a total of $30US each for fingerprinting and police check request. Then there's the cost of untold gallons of G&Ts we drank to unwind . :icon_wink:

We are also taking two cats, who have so far had their rabies titre, though I don't think those in the UK need to worry about that, lucky people that you are. But just for the curious, I think I paid about $150, which included vet visit, shipping to the lab and lab costs.

I'm nowhere near knowing what it will cost us to make the move itself, but anticipate spending a bit on that. I really should be entering all this in a ledger!

We just want a rough idea of the money we will need to spend to get us out there. Not only are we also consuming large measures of G&T but also a bottle or 5 of Australian red wine (find it difficult to get NZ wine around here to try) ::):
We have no pets to take with us, although our 8yr old son is insisting that if we get to NZ he is having a dog!
Here's to spending lots of money for a good cause.

Try Threshers, usually neat selection (in the chill cabinet, saves time) of NZ wine (recommend White Cloud) and fizz, and all at 3 bottles for the price of two.........

Then kid yourself headaches are from form filling, not wine consumption

Stevejan, if you are reading this and you go into this link and scroll further down, it lists a lot of the costs you were enquiring about earlier in this thread.

You can submit the EOI online, which saves postage. They give you a chance to enter a credit card number. Just use the card with the smallest fee for foreign exchanges!
