    Default Google Earth

Google Earth has been updated and now includes Hamilton city at last. Some other pre-existing areas look a lot clearer and sharper. Our house in Hamilton looks amazingly clear, maybe because, being right on the edge of the city, it was already scanned and then got caught in a second sweep when they did the actual city. Perhaps they have more modern technology now as this new sweep is showing up as brighter than surrounding areas but some other areas, which were previously done, still look a bit fuzzy. You can see what has been included in the new sweep because the blocks of colour that show what has been scanned are lighter in colour. It's worth checking out to see if your area has now been included or updated.

Same for Hamilton where we have a house. Looks really dark and murky.

I don't imagine they'll be doing a Street View update in a hurry... what a huge task!

They seem to have upgraded some of the low quality "remote" area satellite images too, but with what looks like computer enhaced versions of what they had. Not much better. My bit of turf in McQueen's Valley has gone from being blotches, to crisp edged blotches.
