    Default Balloons in Waikato

Just saw a advertisment for this, which means that this time last year I flew over the NZ for 4 days for an interview in Hamilton, and of course met up with the lovely Welshgirl, Dawn and Taffy!

Didn't actually see many balloons, but if you're in the area, it's definately worth setting your alarm clocks to see them!

This is marked down as one of my important things to do when I'm finally in Hamilton at the right time.

A couple of pics I found on the Net, just to whet your appetite . As I found when I was last there, balloon rides are available from different locations around the city. This one startled me as I sat outside munching my early morning cereal. Another shot.

Lou, I bet a lot of water has gone under the bridge since you were last in Hamilton.

A lot of water has gone under a lot of bridges since Lou was here, MB

I'm going to the nightglow again this year, so I'll try and take some decent pics and post them on here I fancied going to the Breakfast at Dawn (previously known as the Dawn patrol, I think....) but it's a bit too early for Taff

Dawny & Gazza & Co - fancy coming with us again this year? Have to try and rope our very own keeweegal and hubby into coming too

This is the website with all the info on - Home, Balloons Over Waikato -

Have you had contact from Keeweegal? Would be good to hear how they are settling in Hamilton and how she finds NZ after being away all that time.

Yes, absolutely - we see her all the time, in fact they are renting a place just around the corner from us Taff and G played golf last night too

I'll try and get her to post some thoughts when she's got 10 mins to spare

And they're off (or should that be 'up'?).

I thought they went up in April?

Ahem, Taff has been partaking in rather a lot of exercise lately - weights classes twice a week at Dawn's new studio There's even a hint of a muscle or two developing I think middle age is creeping up on him and he began to panic I'm very proud of him though, he's finally sticking to something healthy

Oh well, that's very encouraging . It's only been 30-odd years in coming but, never mind, it could be that it's finally arrived. Good luck to him, I say, it can only do him good.

Default And it's all over for another year....

As promised, here's a few pics from BOW - sorry about the poor quality and amount but our camera is rubbish and we weren't in a very good position, the crowds were massive! I'm not sure quite how many were there but I reckon the attendance easily matched, if not outnumbered, last years crowd.

Anyway, here's just a few of the pics I could get, apologies again for the quality and number, but, rest assured, I enjoyed every second of it on MoveToNZ's behalf Top fireworks at the end too
