    Default Hello from Wales!

Just thought I'd check in and say hi We (myself and our daughter) are back in Wales to visit family for a few weeks.

All's good, although it was a bit depressing driving up the M4 in the rain - some things never change We're here to catch up with family - it's my eldest boys 18th birthday next week, so it'll be nice to be here with him for that The sun is shining today, so I feel a bit better now, but the rain's not too far away

Anyway, be nice to Taff while I'm away. He said he's going to miss me but personally I reckon he'll be spending his last few days before I come home, clearing up from all the parties he'll have had in my absence

Welcome to any new forum members and hi to all the current ones

Indeed He was at our place Friday night, just a few hours after Lisa left, we went for a ride in the limo, swiggededed red wine and enjoyed a huge crate of fireworks that we had purposefully saved for your departure

You know that you are in my thoughts. Keep those sleeves rolled up.

Personally I'd have preferred a nice steak and chips with my red wine. Hope you didn't get indigestion.

OK, so I'll leave off making bad jokes in future.

Hope you're having a great time, WG.

    Thanks for all your replies

We arrive back in NZ on the 16th December, so Taff's got a few weeks left to party without me yet

The flights were long, as ever but, a bit like giving birth, once it's over and done with, you quickly forget how bad it was Our route was Auckland/Brisbane/Brunei/Dubai/London, with between 1 and 2 hours transit at each stop, so that wasn't so bad. Bit of a bumpy landing coming into Heathrow, my heart was in my mouth for a wee while, but we made it.

Rain hasn't stopped since we arrived, although it's forecast to brighten up on Thursday - we'll see though

Dawn, my friend, my sleeves are well and truly rolled up and my crystals are nearly worn away from overuse. I hope you saved a few fireworks for a celebratory return party for me

Right, I'm off to buy an umbrella

Goodness, that's more than a few weeks! At least Taffy can work 8 days a week without feeling too guilty about neglecting family. I do worry about his work addiction, though.

Have y'all made holiday plans for January or February? I'll need to make flight plans and brush up on my car-renting skills before then.

Hope the sun shines for you!

He is busy loaning me several cars a week because my lil MG has gone to MG hospital

It began making a lil squealing sound, a bit like, 'I'm not feeling very well'. I gave it a pat and said, 'come on now, you're bright red, sexy and gorgeous, especially with your top down, pull yourself together and get over it.' Then, as if in a lil spat of temper at not being taken seriously, it started blowing out cold air when it should have been blowing out warm air on to my lil toesies. 'Umm', thought I, 'a squealing, intermittent moan and cold breath, could be something more to this. I must ask the Tafster. (Whom you know is a demi-god and knows most things about most things.)

He and Gary (who knows nothing about cars but just went out with Taf to appear all macho like) went out to life the bonnet and 'take a look'. Taf sucks his teeth, his arse hanging out his jeans and looks up at me with a sudden look of Arfur Daley about him and says, 'Ed gasket darlin'. 'Who?' I ask. 'Not who, what', he says. 'Who's done what?' I ask in a sudden thick, 'but isn't my car a nice colour' type voice.

No none of that is true to be honest. But Taf did correctly diagnose the head gasket. Took it to the MG spesh (vair nice man if just a lil too interested in go faster stripes, mag wheels and travelling all over Europe with the MG Fan Club) and he stripped it and said head has cracked! So, second hand one on order from Cch and should be done tis week, $2k thank you very much!

So Taf, is fine Lisa. I have see'd im with my own three eyes

You all good babe???? Love you
