Thumbs up Seems like ive landed a job

I contacted someone today about a job for cleaning a post office and an office really close to where i live.
She has asked me to go along on monday for an informal interview, bring along my ird ,passport and bank details and get me signed up there and then.
The pay is pretty awful, but its not long hrs and its certainly handy,so wont cost too much on fuel
I can still leave my options open for something better to come along, but its a start anyway.
Living on one pay, with only a work permit is pretty tough.

Sounds like this might be a goer and very convenient for you. It will give you some NZ work experience which will always come in handy in the future if you want to move on to something else. If you're a good and reliable worker, which I'm sure you are, word will soon get around.

    Good luck.

    Thanks MB and Beth
The other job, carer, with better pay,was run by an agency.
I wouldve been self employed, have to pay my own tax,and waiting on them finding me work.
I want something thats a steady wage, even though it will be bit less.
just to get a start back into work and as you say Mb,at least get a bit of work experience.
Im actually looking forward to it,even though its only cleaning, like you dont do enough of that in the house
But its meeting other people too

Good Luck on the new job, must be a nice feeling on becoming a part of the NZ society. Thanks for putting the simple things you must have on finding a job, ird, bank info, passport...it somehow puts it into a simple language that I can understand. I have myself all worked up over the paperwork order and forgetting the real reason for wanting to move on.

    Good Luck
