I hate to say this guys, but there is a 'way' to loading the dishwasher so that things are put in a place where they will get proper cleaning, and when you empty it the drips do not fall all over the dry dishes. It is a method learned from many many times loading the dishwasher. Same with hanging out washing - there is a way to do it for maximum dryingness(!) and to minimise creases and peg marks. Not being sexist at all ... but I am sure there are fields you guys may be better at dealing with rather than the woman of the house. In both cases, an attempt to make life easier for others has to be applauded.

Default And then there are....

people who can't sort the laundry! I had a partner that sorted using the FO/FI method. (First Off the floor, First In the washing machine). I didn't mind if it was just his stuff, but I'm a little more particular about mine!

Hey guys, I've just hung the washing out. I dumped it all in the basket straight from the machine, took it out to the line UNSORTED OMG!! I proceeded to hang it out straight from the basket UNSORTED OOMG!! Odd socks dotted her and there amongst other laundry that doesn't go anywhere near the sock drawer OOMBG!! Knickers next to sweaters next to t-shirts next to tea towels next to hoodies next to ODD socks, some upside down, some inside out, some back to front OOMBFG!!!!!!

I suddenly remembered what you guys had said and it made me smile. You'd probs go out your tree at my haphazardness. Bet your itching to come round and straighten it all out now Don't worry guys, it'd be dry before you got here and all folded and put away nicely so you'd never even know

Oh, I don't iron anything either - well not much, it takes too long.

As I always say, a persons laundry habits is a true reflection on ones life. In your case, total chaos, everything everywhere and who give a thing about whatsit just gerramongstit.

Ok, I don't always say that I just made it up, but it could be true!

I've hated dishwashers since childhood, so I only use it for storage of miscellaneous stuff. I'd rather have more cabinet space.

Fortunately our household is in harmony about toilet paper and toilet seats.

Another pet peeve came to mind: Going over to someone's house, and finding there are no hand towels in the washroom. There are usually a bunch of damp bath towels, but ... eeew!

I also had a minor conniption when one of our semi-adopted adult daughters was staying with us, and mentioned that she didn't need a wash cloth (flannel for you Brits) for her shower, because she was using one of ours. Eeeeeewww!
