With our wonderful times zones confusing many of us, I've been on tenterhooks to time Selchie's birthday wishes correctly, as she's way behind most of us. The forum runs on our own time zones when we're logged in and not Selchie's. She should be safely asleep now and will awaken to her birthday which will be 'tomorrow' in NZ. Hope I'm not confusing everyone as much as I'm confusing myself.

Thanks all. No worries about early birthday wishes - I'll take them when I can get them. We're going to have brunch & champagne with our local daughter, and then probably be lazy. If the sun comes out a bit, we might go for a walk.

I'm back only just now, but thanks Glenda. It's been a decent enough week, though not what one would typically think of as birthday/birthweek fun. Helped repair the fence, and got into a beekeeping class. I'm going to buy myself a chainsaw to help with gardening cleanup. I even got in another day of painting. Going to a friends house tonight to play board games. There's no end to the excitement!
